Black Crown is my attempt at creating a rich story combining my interests in illustration and fiction.
It started as a novel, that turned into a visual novel, that turned into a web comic.
The landscape of Matauri Bay in Northland, New Zealand serves as the inspiration behind the location of Kirimachi and many of the themes are based on maori mythology, along with the stories passed down to me from my grand parents.
I am Nights. Welcome to the home of Black Crown, a story steeped in old mythology and legends, set in the haunted village of Kirimachi.
